Helpful Information for Galapagos and Puerto Ayora

Since the Galapagos is a National Park, it will cost $100 to enter the island, this fee is paid after you get off the airline.
You fly into Equador on one day (Quito or Guayaquil) and take TAME airlines to the island of Santa Cruz on the next.
After arriving, you get on a bus (free) to the ferry ($0.80). The ferry is short and you throw your luggage up on top. Sometimes a sea lion is swimming nearby. After the ferry, you get on a bus to Puerto Ayora (the final stop on the trip). It costs $1.80. You will then get to the main dock (called muelle in Spanish and pronounced "moy-yay"). We will arrange for our property manager to meet the bus with a sign and take you to the house.

Tour Options:
We have a naturalist guide available to take you (up to 8 people) on inland tours for $125 a day. There are many tourist agencies in town to arrange boat tours, although many of the boats are reserved in advance. There are last minute cancellations, and some are available with a few days notice.
